Villa Oleandra: George Clooney's residence in Laglio
In Laglio, directly on the water, Villa Oleandra became world-famous after its purchase by George Clooney in 2002.
A villa older than its celebrity
The residence dates back to approximately 1720 and was expanded in the nineteenth century by the Stoppani family in neoclassical style. Before Clooney, it belonged to the Heinz family.
Public sources report different figures for the purchase, so it is not correct to state a certain price. Over the years, the villa has hosted friends and international personalities, contributing to Laglio's contemporary notoriety.
See it with respect
Villa Oleandra is a private residence, not open to visitors. It is located along an inhabited shore, and the privacy of residents must be respected: no access, intrusive stops, or drones.
From a boat, it is possible to discreetly recognize the complex and observe the architecture in its context, without approaching beyond permitted limits.
