Alto Lago: Colico, Dervio, and Domaso

Stories from Lake Como

Alto Lago: Colico, Dervio, and Domaso

To the north, the Lario widens towards the Adda plain. Colico, Dervio, and Domaso combine beaches, mountains, historic villages, and a more sporty character.

Three locations, three perspectives

Colico faces Monte Legnone and is near Forte Montecchio Nord and Forte di Fuentes, testimonies of different military eras. Wide meadows and beaches accompany the mouth of the Adda.

Dervio develops between the lake and Valvarrone, dominated by the fortified village of Corenno Plinio. Domaso preserves a core of fishing origin and a long waterfront frequented by campers and athletes.

The landscape of Alto Lario

Here distances expand, and the mountains seem to recede. The sunset light crosses a more open surface compared to the southern branches.

The afternoon Breva wind makes the area ideal for sailing, but it can quickly change navigation conditions. A boat visit should be planned considering the wind and return times.
